Roberto Bolle (Casale Monferrato, 26 marzo 1975)
è un danzatore classico italiano.
Originario di Trino, un paese del basso vercellese, all'età di 12 anni entra
alla Scuola di ballo
del Teatro alla Scala
e grazie al suo grande
talento viene notato da
Rudolf Nureyev,
che lo sceglie per i
nterpretare il ruolo di
Tadzio nell'opera La
Morte a Venezia.
Nel 1996 al termine di una
rappresentazione di Romeo e Giulietta,
viene nominato Primo Ballerino ed
è qui che si moltiplicano i
suoi impegni da protagonista
sia in balletti classici che moderni.
Interpreta molti ruoli per diversi coreografi
di grande successo e collabora ancora con Nureyev
, per La bella addormentata, Cenerentola,
Don Chisciotte e Il lago dei cigni.
Viene quindi molto apprezzato sia in Italia
che all'estero, dove ha occasione di danzare
con grandi e prestigiose compagnie di balletto,
come il Royal Ballet di Londra
, il Balletto Nazionale Canadese,
il Balletto di Stoccarda, lo Staatsoper di Berlino
, il Teatro dell'Opera di Vienna, il Teatro
dell'Opera di Monaco di Baviera,
il Wiesbaden Festival,
il Tokyo Ballet.
Ha danzato con le più note
ballerine
classiche contemporanee,
tra cui le italiane: Carla Fracci,
Alessandra Ferri, Ambra Vallo.
L'English National Ballet,
diretto da Derek Deane,
crea per lui due produzioni:
Il lago dei cigni e Romeo e Giulietta,
entrambe
rappresentate alla Royal Albert
Hall di Londra, mentre nel 2000 l'Opera di Vienna,
crea per lui Ave Verum
su musica di Mozart.
Spettacolare la messa in scena dell'Aida
alle piramidi di Giza per il 10°
anniversario dell'Opera del Cairo,
cui segue quella all'Arena di
Verona trasmessa in Mondovisione.
Nel 1999 diventa Ambasciatore
di buona volontà per l'UNICEF.
Numerosi i premi e i riconoscimenti:
nel 1999 riceve il Premio Gino
Tani per il suo contributo
alla diffusione
dei valori della danza e del movimento,
l'anno successivo gli viene
conferito a Firenze
il Premio Galileo 2000
con la consegna del Pentagramma d'Oro
; sempre nel 2000 è invitato
ad inaugurare la stagione
del Covent Garden con
Il lago dei cigni e al Teatro Bolshoi
di Mosca per celebrare il 75° anniversario di Maya
Plissetskaja alla presenza del presidente Putin,
mentre in occasione del giubileo nel 2002 è
invitato a danzare a Buckingham
Palace al cospetto della regina.
Nell'ottobre 2002, al
Teatro Bolshoi di Mosca
è protagonista del Romeo e Giulietta
di Kenneth MacMillan;
nel marzo 2003,
al Covent Garden di Londra interpreta
La bella addormentata mentre in luglio,
in occasione dei festeggiamenti per il III
centenario di San Pietroburgo, danza
Il lago dei cigni al Teatro Mariinskij.
Dal 2003 gli viene riconosciuto il titolo di
Étoile del Teatro La Scala.
Il 1° aprile 2004 in occasione della
Giornata Mondiale della gioventù balla sul
sagrato di Piazza San Pietro al cospetto del Papa.
Il 10 febbraio 2006 danza alla cerimonia di
inaugurazione dei giochi olimpici invernali di
Torino 2006, su una coreografia ideata da
Enzo Cosimi.
Nel giugno 2007 è il primo italiano invitato a
danzare al Metropolitan di New York.
Alla vigilia dell'esibizione, il 28 maggio 2007,
rilascia un'intervista al Corriere della Sera
, in cui critica aspramente
la danza in Italia quale sistema chiuso,
incapace di rigenerarsi, ed in particolare
l' "egoismo" di Carla Fracci
